The Richard Ramirez project is a personal project that I wanted to sell as an NFT. The idea for the project came to me after watching the documentary on Netflix. It shocked and struck me deeply because we saw a character who had a bizarre fanbase even though he was a serial killer. I wanted to create an artwork to show both sides of the character.

I created everything from scratch, including the character, the elevator of the Cecil Hotel where he resided, and which is the subject of another documentary series called “Hotel Cecil.” There are many references in one image that you can see if you’ve watched both documentaries.

Finally, I never put the NFT up for sale. I want to make it clear that I’m not trying to praise this murderer, but it was during the period of COVID-19 and I wanted to create something artistic on this subject.
